About Us

Statement of Faith

  1. We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings; the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men; and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. (Luke 24:27, 44; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21).
  2. We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally subsisting in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:18-19; Mark 12:29; John 1:14; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
  3. We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. (Luke 1:30-35; John 1:1,2,18; Philippians 2:5-8; Matthew 20:28; Romans 3:25-26; 2 Corinthians 5:14; Hebrews 10:5-14, Hebrews 7:25; 1 Corinthians 15:20).
  4. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and, during this age, to convict men of sin; to regenerate the believing sinner; and to indwell, seal, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for Godly living and service. (John 14:16-17; John 16:7-15; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Galatians 5:16; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 2:22,Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 5:18; 2 Thessalonians 2:7; 1 John 2:20-27).
  5. We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (Genesis 1:26, 2:17; Psalm 14:1-3, Psalm 51:5; John 3:6; Romans 3:10-19; Romans 8:6-7; Ephesians 2:1-3; 1 John 3:8; John 3:36).
  6. We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for the justification and salvation for all who believe, and that only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become the children of God. (Leviticus 17:11; Isaiah 64:6; Matthew 26:28; John 3:7-18; Romans 5:6-9; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 3:13; Ephesians 1:7; Titus 3:5).
  7. We believe in the personal, premillennial, and the imminent (pre-tribulational) return of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this "Blessed Hope" has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. (John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; Philippians 3:20; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Titus 2:11-14).
  8. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment. (Luke 16:19-26; Luke 23:42; Luke 43:2; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Revelation 20:11-15).
  9. We believe that the true church is composed of all persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ, of which He is the head. (Matthew 16:16-18; Acts 2:42-47; Romans 12:5; 1 Corinthians 11:3; Ephesians 4:3-10).
  10. We believe that believer’s baptism via immersion and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the church during this present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Acts 16:32-33; Acts 18:7-8; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-24).
