Our Ministries: Adult Bible Fellowships
Adult Bible Fellowships
Opportunities to Serve
Sitting down, Jesus called
the Twelve and said, “If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last,
and the servant of all" (Mark 9:35 NIV).
By these words, Jesus challenges us to serve
one another, giving priority to the care and nurturing of our families, friends
and neighbors ahead of our own personal needs. And how much more this command
applies within the local church body! One need look no further than our ABFs to
find opportunities to serve our fellow believers.
There are ample opportunities to minister
within the ABF structure. In fact, every person in every ABF is encouraged to
take on at least one responsibility as a way to minister to the other ABF
members. Responsibilities can range from greeting visitors and members at the
door, to supplying snacks, to making weekly visits to shut-ins, to teaching, to
serving on the Leadership Team. All you need to do is pray about what role the
Lord would have you take on and then let your ABF leader (or other ABF
Leadership Team member) know of your desire to serve!
